Ingredients

For the salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure a perfect glaze.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush generously with half of the glaze mixture, ensuring to coat the tops and sides.
  • Bake for 8 minutes, then remove from the oven. Brush with the remaining glaze for an extra punch of flavor and shine.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For a crispy exterior, broil the salmon for the last minute or two of cooking. These fillets are great for meal prep and reheating. Try adding a splash of lemon juice for added brightness.
