Ingredients
  

For the Trifles

  • 1 Lemon cake (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries Sliced and sweetened
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar To sweeten strawberries
  • 2 cups Whipped cream With cream cheese mixed in
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese Softened and mixed with whipped cream

Preparation

  • Bake the lemon cake according to package instructions. Once finished, allow it to cool completely.
  • Slice fresh strawberries and sprinkle them with sugar. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
  • In a separate bowl, mix whipped cream with cream cheese until the texture is smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  • In individual serving glasses, layer the lemon cake pieces, a layer of sugared strawberries, and a dollop of the cream mixture.
  • Continue layering until the glasses are filled, finishing with a layer of strawberries on top. Add more whipped cream if desired.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

These trifles are best served chilled. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an extra touch. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
