Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice Adjust based on desired tartness.
  • 1 cup sugar (or to taste) Start with ¾ cup if you prefer less sweet.
  • 4 cups water Use cold water for fastest chilling; sparkling water can be swapped for a fizzy version.
  • Ice For serving.
  • Lemon slices and strawberry slices, for garnish Adds a fresh look.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Add the hulled strawberries and lemon juice to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  • For a smoother lemonade, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. Press gently with a spoon to extract liquid, leaving seeds/pulp behind.
  • Add the sugar and water to the pitcher. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. If your sugar isn’t dissolving easily, use slightly warmer water for a portion, then add cold water to finish.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness/tartness as needed by adding more lemon juice or sugar.

Serving

  • Fill glasses with ice, pour in the strawberry lemonade, and garnish with lemon and strawberry slices.

Notes

Store in a covered pitcher or airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Stir before serving because natural fruit settles. Don't leave lemonade out at room temperature for long.
