  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice Adjust based on taste.

Preparation

  • Puree the cubed watermelon in a blender until smooth.
  • Using a fine mesh sieve, strain the mixture into a pitcher to remove any pulp and create a silky juice.
  • To the strained watermelon juice, mix in the fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Give it a taste! Adjust the sweetness or tanginess by adding more sugar or lemon juice as desired.
  • Serve the lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh fruit or a splash of vodka.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage. Experiment with different flavors by adding mint or using lime juice instead of lemon.
