Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice Can substitute with lemon juice.
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound chicken breasts

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a shallow dish.
  • Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour—overnight is ideal for deeper flavor.

Cooking

  • Preheat the grill or oven and cook the chicken until it’s fully cooked (165°F/75°C). Serve hot.

Notes

For a thicker marinade, add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt. Marinate overnight for best flavor.
