  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • ΒΌ cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Preparation

  • Wash the salmon fillets and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Mince the garlic and gather all other ingredients.

Cooking

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until combined.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and sear for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the fillets and pour the honey garlic mixture over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to let the glaze caramelize beautifully.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Best served atop jasmine rice or quinoa. Pair with steamed broccoli or roasted asparagus for a balanced meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
