Ingredients
  

For the beef

  • 1 lb Beef (preferably flank or sirloin, thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch For coating the beef
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the vegetables

  • 1 Red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 Green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 2 Carrots (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)

For the sauce

  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil For flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, coat the thinly sliced beef with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a splash of sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Add the beef to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally.
  • Toss in minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Add the sliced bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Pour in soy sauce and mix everything together, cooking for an additional minute.

Serving

  • Remove from heat and serve your beef stir-fry hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

To elevate the dish, serve it over jasmine rice or steamed noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to three months.
