Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Cook Sweet Potatoes
    Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Boil cubed sweet potatoes in a saucepan of water until tender, 10–15 minutes. Drain and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash & Mix Filling
    Mash sweet potatoes until smooth. Stir in eggs, sugar, milk, butter, vanilla, and salt until creamy. Spread into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Prepare Topping
    In a bowl, mix brown sugar and flour. Cut in softened butter until crumbly, then stir in pecans. Sprinkle evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  4. Bake
    Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, until the topping is lightly browned and crisp. Rest a few minutes before serving warm.
