- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 4 Tbsp butter, softened
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
Pecan Crumble Topping

- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp butter, softened

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cook Sweet Potatoes
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Boil cubed sweet potatoes in a saucepan of water until tender, 10–15 minutes. Drain and transfer to a mixing bowl. - Mash & Mix Filling
Mash sweet potatoes until smooth. Stir in eggs, sugar, milk, butter, vanilla, and salt until creamy. Spread into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. - Prepare Topping
In a bowl, mix brown sugar and flour. Cut in softened butter until crumbly, then stir in pecans. Sprinkle evenly over the sweet potato mixture. - Bake
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, until the topping is lightly browned and crisp. Rest a few minutes before serving warm.
Pro Tips
- Make Ahead: Assemble filling and topping separately 1–2 days in advance. Store in the fridge and bake just before serving.
- Freezer Option: Bake filling only, cool completely, wrap tightly, and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight, add topping, and bake until hot.
- Texture Control: Add eggs to slightly cooled mashed potatoes so the mixture sets light and fluffy.
